Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Baitul Huda Masjid is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. You will receive a donation receipt for your records.
How is my donation used?
Your donations fund daily masjid operations (utilities, maintenance, cleaning), Islamic education programs (Quran classes, youth programs), community services (food pantry, family assistance), and building improvements. When you select a specific category, your donation is directed to that cause.
Can I donate anonymously?
Yes. You can choose to donate anonymously through our online form. For Zelle, check, or in-person donations, simply let us know you prefer to remain anonymous. Your privacy is always respected.
How do I set up recurring donations?
Use the "Monthly" toggle at the top of our donation categories to set up a recurring monthly gift. Once our online payment gateway is activated, you'll be able to manage, pause, or cancel your recurring donations at any time from your donor dashboard.
What is the difference between Zakat and Sadaqah?
Zakat is an obligatory form of charity in Islam — every Muslim whose wealth exceeds a certain threshold (nisab) must give 2.5% annually. It is one of the five pillars of Islam. Sadaqah is voluntary charity that can be given at any time, in any amount, and for any good cause. Both are highly rewarded by Allah SWT.
